GridIron Lipstick Loving

Hi everyone!!  I have a special little treat for you today - my new [blog] girl crush agreed to doing a post on my blog today & I'm thrilled to have her!!  You guys are going to just love her!  Kait, it's all you :)  

I guess first things first (duh, they would always be first...they're the FIRST THINGS!..and I'm off track already) I should introduce myself.

I blog over at GridIron Lipstick where you can find me talking keeping it real about Chrissy Teigen, football, and my adventures in the kitchen. Get your sick minds out of there, YOU COOK AND BAKE IN THE KITCHEN, GUYS. If you're doing other things, I imagine you've come to the wrong place to look for tips in that department.

I like to think of myself as a full-time life liver and part-time workaholic. Work hard, play harder--right? I grew up with a passion for anything but sports. Seriously, I was a girly girl and sports = getting dirty as far as I was concerned. But no, I was not a cheerleader. That didn't work out so well for me either. Something about doing splits and putting my legs places they didn't belong.

Enter: college. I attended THE Pennsylvania State Unviersity and fell in love with football. From there, I got a gig working Super Bowl XLV...and the rest is history. Since, I've worked two Super Bowls, the 2012 NFL Draft, and shipped off to Detroit for a season. Currently, I work game days for the Steelers, in addition to my "9-5" job doing PR and social media work. Most days it doesn't even seem like work, because I'm so excited about all the fun projects I have going on. My life is not always as glamorous as it sounds--but I promise you, it's always fun.

Oh yeah, like that one time I got a gum infection and my jawline swelled to disgusting proportions right before the season home opener for the Lions? Yes. We will chalk that up to the not-so-glamorous part.

I have a TEENSY obsession with my dog and you can see a nonstop feed of her antics (and mine) on the reg on Instagram. I'm also obsessed with my Army Ranger boyfriend, Dane, who's currently reppin' America in Hawaii and protecting your ass and mine simultaneously. So you'll get some snapshots of him now and then too. He is also pretty hot, so I don't foresee a lot of complaints.

Yes, he does always look that happy when I photograph him at dinner. He knows the rules. Anything he says, does, or doesn't do is subject to blog material. GridIron Lipstick runs moderately like a court system--and I'm both the judge and the jury.

I never take myself too seriously and I love to laugh. There's also a small part of me that cannot relate to people who don't understand my sarcasm, so if that's you--this might be where we part ways. I'm also not a mom (but I was once a nanny)--so I probably can't help you with child rearing tips either. In fact, the thought of rearing a child at this point in my life is downright terrifying. ::Pours self larger glass of wine:: But don't worry--I DO want to get to know YOU all more. Stop by anytime--I've always got something cookin' and an extra cocktail on hand.
